Shinzen Friendship Garden is a Japanese garden inside Woodward Park, built to honor Fresno's sister city of Kochi, Japan. It has a koi pond, an arched bridge, a tea house, and a mountain stream.
Cherry and plum trees bloom in March, which is the busiest and best time to visit. Fall color comes in November.
The garden is open on limited days and hours, so check the schedule before you drive out. Entry is a small fee on top of the Woodward Park vehicle charge.
