About

Woodward Park is the largest park in Fresno, about 300 acres along the north edge of town near the San Joaquin River bluffs. It has miles of paved and dirt trails, a fenced dog park, a disc golf course, an amphitheater, and the Shinzen Friendship Garden inside it.

The trails connect to the Lewis S. Eaton Trail, which runs down toward the river. Spring brings wildflowers and the cherry blossoms in Shinzen. Fall is the most comfortable time to walk the full loop.

There is a per-vehicle entry fee. Go early in summer to beat the heat.
